Najma Usman

Najma Usman was born in Karachi and now lives in London. She has published three collections of poetry: Shakh e Hina (1989), Karey Mausamoon ki Zad par (1999), and Khayal ki Khushboo (2013): a fourth is forthcoming. She has also published a short story collection, "Ped se Bhichdi Shaakh;" and a novel, "Teen naslon ki kahani". Her poetry and prose has appeared in magazines across the UK and the Subcontinent. Najma has received several awards including two Lifetime Achievement Awards: one from the Yorkshire Adabi Forum and another from Bazm e Sukhan UK.
