Inaam Nadeem

A poet, writer, translator, and teacher, Inaam Nadeem has eight books to his credit, including a volume of ghazals. His first book Dar-e-Khawab received the Aks-e-Khushbu Poetry Prize in 2003. He has translated many English novels into Urdu, including Omar Hamid Shahid’s The Prisoner and Rabisankar Bal’s Dozakhnama and A Mirrored Life. He has also translated and edited a volume of short stories by renowned Hindi fiction writer Bhisham Sahni. The book was shortlisted for the 10th UBL Literature and Arts Award in 2022. He has also compiled an anthology about Asif Farrukhi, selected stories of Zakia Mashhadi, and complete works of poet Akbar Masoom. His latest book is a research-based anthology of Urdu prose poems in Pakistan. His literary essays and articles about music are published frequently. Inaam Nadeem was born in Shahdadpur Sindh in 1967. He lives in Karachi and teaches at Habib University.
