Amina Yaqin

Amina Yaqin is Associate Professor in World Literatures and Publishing at the University of Exeter. She is the author of Gender, Sexuality and Feminism in Pakistani Urdu Writing and co-author (with Peter Morey) of Framing Muslims: stereotyping and representation after 9/11. She has published widely in peer-reviewed publications and co-edited numerous books and journal special issues. Her commentary and interviews have been aired by the BBC, SkyNews, EuroNews, TRT World, Indus News and Pakistan Television Network. She has written for The National UAE, The Times Higher Education UK, the British Film Institute and The Conversation. She is co-founding co-editor of the interdisciplinary journal Critical Pakistan Studies published by Cambridge University Press and co-founding editor of Multicultural Textualities published by Manchester University Press. Her work includes contributions to policy briefings, knowledge transfer activities, research consultancies and community engagement.
